Alfred Ramosedi: Chief Executive Officer
Alfred holds a B.Com degree and an MBA and has over 25 years’ experience in banking and financial services, having held senior positions in both Nedbank and ABSA before he joined African Bank in 2012 and Bayport in 2017. He is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA) and a previous Chairman of CIMA in South Africa. Alfred’s career spans roles ranging from Head of Private Bank, Head of Distribution and Group Executive: Sales and Marketing. An experienced senior executive, Alfred has extensive experience in leading businesses. After a year as Deputy CEO of Bayport SA, Alfred was appointed as CEO of Bayport SA in August 2018 and serves as Executive Director on the Bayport SA Board.
Gavin O’Mahony: Deputy Chief Executive Officer
Gavin is a Chartered Accountant who joined Bayport SA in 2010, after completing his articles. He previously held the positions of Head of Financial Modelling (which included profitability analysis and provision modelling), Head of Cellular Portfolio, Head of Credit Risk and also spent three years as Chief Risk Officer, where he managed our Credit Risk, Enterprise Risk, Credit Underwriting, Collections, Forensics and Information Management functions. In March 2019, Gavin was promoted to Deputy CEO where, in addition to supporting the CEO in the overall leadership of the company, he currently oversees the Credit Risk, Credit Underwriting, Collections, Forensics, Information Management, Finance, IT and Digital functions.
John White: Chief Operating Officer and Human Capital Executive
John has over 35 years of business experience and is an experienced leader and general manager. John is the COO of Bayport SA, responsible for Sales and Marketing. In addition, he serves as Human Capital Executive. John holds a B.Sc (Computer Science) degree and spent 15 years of his career at PwC in their Advisory division, where he was a Partner for 12 years. He headed up various business units within PwC including 2 years as the Southern Africa Head of Brand and Marketing and 2 years as the COO of PwC Exordia, an IT Outsourcing business unit. Within Bayport, John also operated at a Group level, where he was responsible for Marketing, Human Capital and Operational Excellence and spent 2 years as the Regional Executive for the Bayport Ghana business, before being deployed fulltime to Bayport SA.
Warwick Keet: Chief Financial Officer
Warwick is a Chartered Accountant and joined Bayport South Africa in 2010 after completing his articles at Deloitte and Touché. Warwick was initially appointed as a Financial Manager and by 2013 he led the Finance team as General Manager Finance. In 2016 he was promoted to Deputy CFO and in 2017 to Chief Financial Officer. Warwick is responsible for the Company’s Finance, Facilities, Procurement, Modelling, Forecasting and Funding functions.
Arthur Hlubi: Governance, Risk, Legal and Compliance Executive
Arthur is an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, with over 20 years’ post admission experience in Financial Planning, Legal, Compliance and Risk Management. His career includes positions held in Old Mutual, Metropolitan Life and Alexander Forbes, prior to joining Bayport SA in January 2015, where he is currently responsible for the Company’s Enterprise Risk Management, Legal Management, Compliance, and Governance Management functions, in addition to managing Client Services, Insurance and serving as Chairman of the Company’s Enterprise Risk Committee. Arthur holds an MBA from Henley Business School, an LLB from the University of Natal, a B Juris from the University of Zululand, a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (University of the Free State), a Post graduate Certificate in Compliance Management (University of Cape Town) and he underwent the Wits Business School Management Advanced Programme.
